Challenge
With plans to scale online and eventually open a brick-and-mortar studio, Mia Venise needed a comprehensive brand system that could extend across digital, packaging, environmental signage, and social content while maintaining clarity and recognition in a highly saturated wellness market.
Creative Strategy
I assembled a small collaborative design team and approached the project through the founder’s perspective—conducting workshops to deeply understand her vision, values, and long-term ambitions as a solo entrepreneur. Through audience research and market analysis, we identified a positioning opportunity within the cruelty-free wellness space that emphasized accessibility and inclusivity.
From there, we developed a cohesive brand system designed to scale across digital, packaging, environmental, and social applications. The result is a unified identity that differentiates Venise Naturals within a saturated wellness market while remaining authentic to its founder-led story.

Design Notes & Lessons

This brand carries a special level of nostalgia for me. I created it during the COVID era (2019–2020), and it was my first complete brand buildout. At the time, I was running a solo creative studio, and the project grew beyond what one person could realistically execute. I assembled a small team of local designers with complementary skills and led the project from concept through completion.
Looking back, I’m genuinely proud of what we produced — and I also recognize how much I learned in the process. One memorable mishap: I ordered the client’s lip balm labels without specifying coated polypropylene, which resulted in the ink smudging and peeling. Seeing the photo the client sent was painful at the time, and the reprint came out of my own pocket — but Mia was gracious and patient, and the corrected labels turned out beautifully. It was a real lesson in production awareness and vendor communication.
What sets this project apart is the full-spectrum creative execution. We didn’t just design a logo — we built a visual identity that extended into packaging, labels, website design, and environmental touchpoints, resulting in a cohesive and unified brand presence. Leading the photography direction further elevated the visuals; we staged a shoot in a beautiful German Village rental home filled with greenery and natural textures that aligned perfectly with Venise Naturals’ organic, minimalist ethos.
Working in the wellness and beauty space was genuinely enjoyable, especially because it involved people — collaboration with models, stylists, and a diverse group of creatives. Ultimately, the brand centered around representing real people and crafting something authentic, inclusive, and intentionally made.
